Rumor: JG Pageau is done in Ottawa, trade coming

The Ottawa Senators have occupied the basement of the NHL for what seems like the past few seasons. While their youth movement continues, one of their bright spots this year could help expedite the process, and it appears that will be the case.

Sources tell NHLTR the Sens and Jean-Gabriel Pageau's camp, have held no contract extension talks and none are planned before the trade deadline. In turn, this means JG Pageau will be traded before the deadline.

The team continues to try and swing a deal for a at least a first-round pick, which is a big ask for a player who is enjoying his first season with more than 20 goals.

The Colorado Avalanche appear to be the front runners, as they have lost Nazem Kadri for what could be several weeks. Pageau would slide in nicely on their second line.

The Columbus Blue Jackets, Vancouver Canucks, and New York Islanders have all been linked to Pageau as the bidding war will continue for the next 10 days.

Who knows what Pageau's new address will be, we just know he'll have one soon.
