Rumor: Nashville sends trade offer to the LA Kings

The LA Kings have lit up their sign that they are open for business and the Nashville Predators are the latest team to make GM, Rob Blake a trade offer.

The deal includes the Kings sending defenseman Alec Martinez to the Preds in exchange for defenseman Steven Santini, a prospect and 2nd-round pick. Martinez is under contract for next season at a respectable $4 million, so the Kings will be able to squeeze out a little bit more out of this deal.

The Preds are looking to upgrade their back end as the team has newfound hope to turn their season around and get back to playing Nashville hockey.

Have to wonder if Rob Blake is just getting warmed up. Alec Martinez continues to draw a crowd with multiple teams very interested in the veteran Dman.

These two teams will be very active this month as the Preds try and battle their way up the western standings while the Kings can't wait for this season to be over.
