Blockbuster Rumor: LA Kings prepare trade package for #1 pick

The LA Kings find themselves in an interesting position. The team currently sits with the #2 overall draft pick, and they may not be satisfied. While GM, Rob Blake has mentioned he prefers to keep Jonathan Quick, Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar on his roster, it's the young blood Blake may be open to moving out.

According to one executive in the western conference, the Kings are a team to watch when the off season hits and they have their eyes on the # 1 overall pick:
From what I am hearing the Kings have discussed all options. The #2 pick and top-prospect Gabriel Vilardi are on the table and Rob Blake may be open to more if he has to, such as Akil Thomas who a ton of teams are super-high on. Getting a franchise cornerstone like Alexis Lafreniere doesn't come around too often and the Kings couldn't be closer to it. There's enough on LA to at least entice whoever wins the lottery, especially with the Kings having 6 picks in the first 3 rounds. This will be interesting to monitor.
The LA Kings will be a team to watch while we creep closer to the draft.

Whoever lands on #1 better charge their phone, the calls are going to be early and often.
