Blue Jackets and Devils Complete a Trade

The Columbus Blues Jackets have traded defenseman, Ryan Murray to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 5th-round pick in 2021.

Murray, a one-time 2nd overall draft pick by the Blue Jackets is 27, and has one-year left on his contract paying him $4.6 million. The move for the Blue Jackets was strictly a salary dump, while the Devils think Murray still has potential and will slot him into their top-4.
