New Jersey Makes Another Free-Agent Splash

The New Jersey Devils are going to look a lot different next season as the team continues to add new faces. Today it was defenseman Dmitry Kulikov's turn to join the Devils, as the defenseman signed a one-year deal worth $1.15 million.

Kulikov spent last season with the Winnipeg Jets where the Russian defender had 10 points in 51 games. The soon-to-be 30-year-old is now on to his fourth team, after stops in Winnipeg, Florida and Buffalo.

For the Devils, the team's defense is set for next season with the perfect mix of righties and lefties. PK Subban, Ryan Murray, Will Butcher, Damon Severson, Connor Carrick and now Kulikov round out what's a pretty solid six.

With Corey Crawford and Mackenzie Blackwood in net, and an offense led by a young core, the Devils could turn into a team to watch in the east. Things are heating up in New Jersey!
