Big Update On The Patrik Laine Trade Rumors

If the Winnipeg Jets are going to trade their young superstar Patrik Laine, it's going to have to be the 'perfect fit' as per Darren Dreger of TSN. General manager Kevin Cheveldayoff has been listening to offers but so far nothing has knocked his socks off.

Dreger went on to mention a one-for-one trade with Columbus for Pierre-Luc Dubois makes a ton of sense, however at this point nothing is close.

The Jets are also dealing with trade demands from Jack Roslovic and continue to work on facilitating a move for their other disgruntled right-winger. While the talks continue, to this point nothing seems imminent.

As for Laine, once a trade materializes expect to see the Jets trade him to an 'eastern' conference team. With the new alignment this year, that could play a factor, but next year the league is going back to their normal set up so keep an eye on teams like the Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers.
