Done Deal: Winnipeg and Columbus Complete Blockbuster Trade

Ladies and gentlemen we have ourselves a blockbuster trade as the Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets have come to terms on a deal!

The move sees Pierre-Luc Dubois and a third-round pick head to the Jets for sniper Patrik Laine and forward Jack Roslovic.

The move comes after Thursday's Blue Jackets game where Dubois looked like he gave up on his team and all his teammates. He admitted he needed to be better and now he gets a chance to reset his career at 22, and with the Jets playing as their #2 center behind Mark Scheifele.

As for Laine, he goes from one demanding head coach to the most demanding head coach. This should be interesting and is a huge gamble for the Blue Jackets.

Now we can all move on, ya?

Did you know Pierre-Luc Dubois’ father, Eric, coaches in the Winnipeg organization? (He’s an assistant for the AHL Moose)
