Media Calls For Bobby Orr To Repudiate President Trump
Two months ago, Bobby Orr took a full-page ad in the New Hampshire Union Leader endorsing President Trump's bid for a second term. He was criticized for this move, but like all news, it became old news. Now some are calling for Orr to repudiate President Trump.
Orr is arguably the greatest player to ever play the game of hockey, but many were upset to learn that he was an avid supporter of President Trump. There has been violence at the hands of Trump supports all throughout Washington D.C this week. In fact, a group of rioters charged Capitol Hill, causing it to go into lockdown. Many claim that the sitting President is responsible for this violence. Members within the hockey community, namely Ken Campbell of The Hockey Writers, are calling for Orr to repudiate President Trump. The claims that the destabilization of democracy should not be condoned and is different from right vs left political views.
