Rumor: New York Rangers To Acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois

Pierre-Luc Dubois wants out of Columbus; that's old news. There have been many rumors circulating Dubois, but the New York Rangers are reportedly the favorites to land the young centerman.

The Rangers already have a deadly roster thanks to the monster signing of Artemi Panarin last season and the addition of the first overall pick, Alexis Lafreniere. They are now said to be in on the Dubois sweepstakes, which will make the team a real life cheat code.

Elliotte Friedman has reported that Dubois wants a "bigger hockey stage". New York is one of the biggest hockey stages in the world. He would also reunite with former linemate, Artemi Panarin. The Blue Jackets' asking price for Dubois is relatively high and it starts with Mika Zibanejad. Ryan Strome is also rumored to be a part of the trade discussions. The Rangers are seeking a centerman for the next 5+ years. While Zibanejad had an fantastic season last year, at age 27, he does not guarantee success beyond the near future. SB Nation Blueshirt Banter
