Rumor: Rangers to offer massive package for Dubois

We are only two days into the new NHL season and the rumor mill is going crazy with a lot of big names in the mix. Pierre-Luc Dubois of the Columbus Blue Jackets seems to be the top target for many teams, but from reports the New York Rangers may have the best chance to land the talented center.

According to Sportsnet's Ryan Dixon The Rangers as well as a handful of teams are preparing trade offers to the Blue Jackets. Dixon believes the trade would be centered around 2019 2nd overall pick Kaapo Kakko and Ryan Strome and a 2nd round pick in 2022. The Blue Jackets would like 21-year-old Filip Chytil to be added to the package. The two teams share a long history together, from big trades to hiring each others GM's and coaches. If the Rangers were to include Alexandar Georgiev into the deal somehow then it would be very hard for Columbus to find a better offer.

Will we see Dubois get moved early in the season?? The New Jersey Devils traded Taylor Hall last year one month into the season, much may depend on the records of the two teams a month from now to determine an acceptable price for the young star.
