Rumor: Winnipeg Jets Turned Down Mega Offer From Philadelphia Flyers

As we become further removed from the Pierre-Luc Dubois - Patrik Laine deal, more details begin to surface. Many teams sent shocking offers to both the Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets for the aforementioned players, but the Philadelphia Flyers' offers seem too attractive to turn down.

Dubois has tremendous upside and potential, but his attitude with Columbus may raise red flags. The Flyers reportedly made an offer to the Jets in order to acquire Laine. Nolan Patrick was rumored to be on the table and was nearly sent back to his hometown. The Flyers also made an offer that included highly touted Travis Konecny, but whether both players were offered in exchange for Laine is unclear.

If both players were on the table in exchange for Laine, perhaps Jets Kevin Cheveldayoff should have taken that deal instead of acquiring Dubois from Columbus. It's worthy to note that Konecny has been a healthy scratch, but whether it's related to a trade or internal discipline is unclear.
