Video: Maple Leafs Top Prospect Put on a Show Saturday Night

The Toronto Maple Leafs held a blue and white scrimmage on Saturday night that felt as close to a preseason game as you possibly could. The lineups were balanced out, intensity was higher than expected and some players stood out with their performance.

19-year-old Nick Robertson was one of them.

The super-rookie scoring sensation who played with the Maple Leafs in the playoff bubble and scored his first NHL goal, will be in tough to crack the opening night line up and is expected to be the first forward called up from the team's taxi squad.

Robertson is a second round pick from the 2019 draft and his last year of junior he scored 55 goals in 46 games. A lot of those goals looked very similar to this one from last night.

Don't blink:

Robertson looks stronger and much faster on his skates so far in camp and it has to due with the fact he's never left Toronto since the bubble ended and has been training there ever since.

Expect to see the California native in the Leafs lineup as soon as there's an injury and by all accounts, you should expect to see more heavy shots like the one from Saturday night.

Leafs Nation should be pumped to have Nick Robertson on their side.
