Asking Price for Canucks' Jake Virtanen Revealed

The Vancouver Canucks have been struggling so far this season and the hockey media has held a spotlight on their operations awaiting for changes. While the Canucks ownership has come out and let it be known the head coach and general manager are safe, there's expected to changes made to their roster. One player in particular, Jake Virtanen is rumored to be on the move soon and on Tuesday we found out what the asking price will be.

According to Darren Dreger of TSN, the Canucks are looking for a young forward in return for Virtanen and the forward needs to make less than Virtanen's cap hit of $2.55 million.

So far this season the former first-round pick has recorded one goal in 14 games and some nights is seeing less than 10 minutes of ice-time a night. The Canucks are open to moving the 24-year-old but only for a player that has some potential and will save Vancouver money next season.

The Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild are two teams that have been in regular contact with Vancouver.
