Dominik Hašek Gives Hilarious Tribute To Patrick Kane

Dominik Hašek retired from the NHL in 2008 just days after winning his second Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings. He will always be recognized for his untraditional style of play and retiring as one of the most decorated goaltenders of all time.

Hašek won 6 Vezina Trophies, 2 Hart trophies, 2 Lester B. Pearson awards (now the Ted Lindsay award), 3 William M. Jennings Trophies, and 2 Stanley Cups. He also played in the NHL All-Star game on 6 occasions. His two Stanley Cup victories came after losing in the Stanley Cup Finals with the Buffalo Sabres against the Dallas Stars where Brett Hull scored the controversial Cup clinching goal.

He has now taken the time to offer his congratulations to Patrick Kane on his 1000th game milestone. This milestone was reached shortly after scoring his 400th career goal, cementing himself as the greatest U.S born player of all time. Hašek's video is absolutely hilarious. There is nothing better than game recognizing game despite their era's barely overlapping. He also happened to mention that Kane's first shootout winning goal came against himself.
