Flyers Defenseman Blasts Team, Admits They've Lost Their Identity

The Philadelphia Flyers were blown out once again by the New York Rangers on Thursday and the team is folding at the seams. Defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere spoke to the media after the game and let's just say he didn't hold back one bit.

This team has really lost its identity. From where we were at the beginning of the year to where we are now. It sucks right now. It's just unacceptable. It's just straight not good enough right now. We're letting guys just absolutely f------ beat us up right now in front of the net. It makes our goaltenders look like absolute shit. It's not fair.

The math isn't adding up for the Flyers as they are struggling and falling in the East Division. The team now sits in sixth, three points on the outside looking in to the playoffs, and meanwhile they've played three more games then the 4th placed Boston Bruins.

Thursday's loss to the Rangers was the Flyers 10th loss in their past 14 games. As for Gostisbehere, the 27-year-old has 10 points in 23 games this season.

Flyers management has made it known they are open to making a trade and the team is looking for another defenseman. Ryan Ellis of the Nashville Predators has been rumored of one target for the team. Maybe he can help them find their identity again.
