John Tortorella Comments On Job Status in Columbus

The Columbus Blue Jackets can't seem to doing anything right at the moment as the team is sliding fast. The team lost its 5th straight game on Sunday to the Nashville Predators and now are 1-5-2 in their last eight games.

While the insertion of Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic hasn't jump started the offense, there's plenty of areas of concern for Columbus at this point. This includes head coach John Tortorella's job security but if you ask the outspoken coach, he'll tell you he's not worried about that one bit:

I never worry about that. I do my job the best I can. If people want to make decisions on me, that's their decision. ... I go about my business, and I'm going to coach this team the best way I possibly can.

The team is sitting five points out of a playoff spot and at this point don't look like a team that's going to be able to turn it around. While Torts' system is all about blocking shots and team defense, the roster has not responded this season as the team sits ranked 28th in goals against per game.

Something has to give in Columbus and considering they've already traded their #1 center, the spotlight is going to start beaming on the hot seat behind the bench.
