3 Trade Destinations for Blue Jackets' Max Domi

It appears Max Domi's tenure with the Columbus Blue Jackets is not going as planned as he's been healthy scratched the past two games by head coach John Tortorella. Domi's ice-time has been declining for weeks, even with some decent numbers and now he's planted in Torts' dog house.

With the fit between the player and the coach not working, there's going to be trade interest in Domi this offseason. Here's three teams who would have trade interest in Domi:

1. Minnesota Wild: The Wild have been trying hard to find more talent for their forward group and general manager Bill Guerin is expected to be busy this upcoming offseason. The 26-year-old Domi would provide the Wild with another option for their top-2 center positions. The Wild have a ton of depth on defense so these two make a ton of sense as trade partners.

2. Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers need help up front and Domi would be a great option as a #3 center for the Oil, or something who can fill in on their top-six if there's an injury. This will especially be the case if Edmonton is unable to sign Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to an extension, look for them to bring in some fresh faces via trade if they let RNH walk.

3. Anaheim Ducks: The Ducks are going to be passing the torch soon to some younger talent and Domi would provide them a proven scorer for their top-six forward group. While Domi would be a free-agent after next season, playing hockey in California isn't something many shy away from. The Ducks have a tremendous amount of depth on defense with the likes of Cam Fowler and Josh Manson, two defensemen who the Jackets could have interest in acquiring.

Domi has recorded 19 points in 46 games so far in Columbus, however his head coach has been questioning his work ethic and composure. Look for a trade this upcoming offseason as Domi's getting used to switching teams.
