Buffalo Sabres 'Considering' Jack Eichel Trade Offers

The Buffalo Sabres are the team to watch this week as we approach the April 12th trade deadline. While a ton of the focus is on the 'scratched' Taylor Hall, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Sabres are also considering some Jack Eichel trade scenarios.

Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams has a huge task in front of him and dealing both Hall and Eichel in the same week would be a massive few days for the future of the franchise. Friedman thinks while an Eichel deal isn't imminent, general manager Kevyn Adams is likely hearing from teams about the price tag:

The person to watch is Kevyn Adams. He’s the juggler, going through multiple scenarios both big and small. There’s a big difference between “considering” and “doing,” but I think he’s considering almost everything. And I do believe he’s listening to Jack Eichel pitches. At the very least, Adams is getting the lay of the land.

Any Eichel deal would be a blockbuster and if executed correctly could give the Sabres multiple pieces to build around for the future.

There's a number of teams who would have some level of interest but Eichel's $10 million cap hit per season will be the toughest hurdle at this point. Once, if ever Eichel does get traded expect to hear the likes of the New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers and Calgary Flames to all make major offers.
