Dallas Stars Stephen Johns Retires From NHL

Stephen Johns has decided it's time to hang up his skates and has retired from the NHL. The Dallas Stars defenseman missed this past season with post-concussion syndrome.

The 29-year-old defenseman had a lot to say and took to his Instagram to let it all out:

It's been a rough go for Johns who sat out the entire 2021 season, after he missed more than half o the 2019-20 season and all of the 2018-19 season due to headaches from a concussion he sustained in March 2018.

In 167 games in Dallas over four seasons, Johns finishes with 15 goals and 18 assists. He was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 60th overall pick in 2010 and was traded to Dallas in July 2015.

We wish him nothing but the best.
