Buffalo Sabres Are Bringing Back Depth Forward

The Buffalo Sabres seem to be getting rid of everybody. They already traded Sam Reinhart and Rasmus Ristolainen. Jack Eichel is of course the king of trade rumors. However, the Sabres are bringing one player back from this past season. Drake Caggiula has signed a one-year, $750,000 extension with the team.

After being put on waivers by the Arizona Coyotes this past April, the Sabres claimed the 27-year-old. In 11 games with Buffalo, the 27-year-old scored two goals and recorded three total points. Although those aren't jaw-dropping totals, he should still play bottom-six minutes and on their penalty kill moving forward. He is simply a good defensive forward to have at that cheap of a price.

In 260 career games, he has scored 44 goals and registered 86 points. His overall experience should make him a good mentor for the Sabres' young guys.
