Exciting News Regarding Toronto Maple Leafs Captain John Tavares
When looking back at John Tavares' season-ending injury in Game 1 against the Montreal Canadiens, it seemed that he would be sidelined for a long time. Thankfully, the injuries he received did not end up being as severe as they originally looked. He even ended up skating on the ice again right before the Leafs were knocked out by the Habs. Now, Kyle Dubas has confirmed that Tavares is cleared for contact and should be ready to go for the beginning of the season.
This is great news, as Tavares is an immensely important player for the Maple Leafs. Besides the fact that he is their captain, he is also one of their primary scorers. Him being back in the lineup will be fantastic for the Maple Leafs moving forward.Kyle Dubas said on @OverDrive1050 that John Tavares has been cleared for all on-ice activities and all signs point to him being good to go next season. But given nature of the injury, #Leafs will be cautious as he gets back up to his former speed.

In 56 games this season, the 30-year-old center had 19 goals and 50 total points. He will be heading into the fourth season of his seven-year contract.
It is just very nice to hear that he is recovering so well.
