Nashville Predators To Lose Key Forward

According to Pierre LeBrun, Mikael Granlund is going to hit the open market. This means his time in Nashville is likely done.

The Predators were trying to sign him to a new contract, but the two sides could not come to an agreement. In 51 games this season, the 29-year-old forward had 13 goals and 27 points. He certainly is a player who can contribute well offensively and play top-six minutes. Another alluring element about him is that he also can play both center and on the wing. Therefore, he can take on virtually any need a team has.

Granlund is one of the top UFAs available at this point, so expect to see him have a plethora of takers. It should not take him too long to find a new home.
