Rumor: Arizona Coyotes Trading Starting Goaltender

The Arizona Coyotes have become a team to watch in the NHL this summer as they have some big names on the trade market. One name you can now add to their list of available players - goaltender Darcy Kuemper.

According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, he thinks there's a good chance the netminder gets moved, considering everything else that is going on in the desert:

The interesting one is going to be (Darcy) Kuemper. His name was all over the rumours last year. He had a tough year this year with injuries, but one of the things that happened was he played very well with Canada winning the gold medal at the worlds. Kuemper’s going to be an interesting one because he can get them what they want, which are picks or prospects

This past season the 31-year-old Kuemper posted a 10-11-3 record with a 2.56 GAA and a .907 SV%. It was a down year for the goalie after posting seasons with save percentages of .928 and .925 save. Look for the package going to Arizona to be loaded with picks and prospects and team's to look out for are the Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks, Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs.
