Rumor: Pittsburgh Penguins Trying to Acquire Marc-Andre Fleury

Marc-Andre Fleury found out this week he was being traded via Twitter and let's just say the Vezina trophy winner deserves better. The Vegas Golden Knights didn't get to the Flower in time as they only make calls to players once deals are complete and his latest trade to Chicago was not finished, and leaked. Horrible optics indeed, and now Fleury may not be reporting to the Blackhawks and some reports have suggested he retire. Insert the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Rumors have surfaced the team has contacted the Chicago Blackhawks, asking what their asking price is on Fleury. Some suggested it be Tristan Jarry for a number of reasons and the Blackhawks could easily have interest in the move should Fleury be out on playing in the windy city.

It would be a damn shame to see Fleury win the Vezina and then retire because of this. The veteran netminder has tons of hockey left and everyone in the hockey world wants to see the reunion in Pittsburgh with Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin. You're on the clock, Mr Hextall.
