Seattle Kraken Are Passing On Colorado Avalanche Captain

The Seattle Kraken are not going to be selecting Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog tonight, according to Elliotte Friedman. He is a pending UFA and the Kraken did not come to terms with him on a potential deal.

It has been noted that Landeskog and the Colorado Avalanche are not anywhere close to agreeing to an extension. If they cannot agree on a contract, he will be able to hit the open market on July 28th. If this comes into fruition, he will have a plethora of takers for his services.

Landeskog would have been a great addition for Seattle, but due to the fact that a contract was not set in stone, it makes sense that they are now passing on him. Look for the Kraken to take underrated winger Joonas Donskoi from here.
