Chicago Blackhawks: 2 Players Who Could Be Traded in 2021-22

The NHL offseason is underway and there's been a ton of movement so far this summer. Along with mega-contracts being handed out and an expansion draft in Seattle, there's been multiple trades that will have huge impacts on the 2021-22 NHL season. Trades will continue this summer and of course into next season, so we shift our focus to the next deal for each franchise.

Follow along as we highlight a couple of players from each team who are most likely to be traded next. Our last look was at the Calgary Flames and for today's segment we head to the windy city and visit the Chicago Blackhawks.

2 Blackhawks Most Likely to be Traded in 2021-22

Dylan Strome: The one-time can't miss prospect still hasn't developed to everything expected and 2021-22 is a huge year for the pending restricted free-agent. Last season the 24-year-old finished the season with 17 points in 40 games and with Jonathan Toews expected back next season, he should be able to hide from the tough matchups. Needless to say, this is a monster season coming up for the former 3rd overall pick in 2015.

Alex Nylander: Another top prospect who has bounced around a little bit, it's becoming breakout or bust for Nylander in Chicago. Nylander didn't play last season due to injury so there's a ton of unknown heading into this season.

If Nylander can't find his form, look for the Blackhawks to move on. His best season came back in 2019-20 when he collected 26 points in 65 games. If William's brother can find this touch and more in 2021-22, he'll be looking at a long term deal with the Blackhawks. If not, expect a deal.
