Buffalo Sabres: 2 Trade Rumors Following the Team

The Buffalo Sabres had themselves quite the offseason as the team moved out a number of players and have jump-started their rebuild. The trades are going to continue as we all know, as Jack Eichel is soon to be moved. Let's take a look at a couple of trade rumors that keep following around the Sabres.

Jack Eichel to the New York Rangers

The Rangers have been very interested from day one, however their interest level has certainly changed a few times since. Back and forth it sways in the Big Apple, but those close to the Rangers feel they are still very much involved. If the team is willing to include either Kaapo Kakko or Alexis Lafreniere, expect the Sabres to stop and listen. Money will be a huge factor in the Eichel trade, considering he makes $10 million per season. Look for the Rangers to include Ryan Strome in the deal and make it work.

Jack Eichel to the Anaheim Ducks

If the Ducks can hold onto Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale, they will make the trade with the Sabres. So far talks continue to stop there. The Ducks have the cap space and the perfect opportunity for Eichel to take the torch from Ryan Getzlaf. He would give their fans a huge boost and going from Buffalo to California for work, doesn't sound like a bad time at all. Maxime Comtois, Max Jones and Sam Steel will all be on the Sabres radar. If there's one team from the west that could pull off the blockbuster deal, it's the Ducks.
