San Jose Sharks: 2 Underrated Players To Watch

The NHL has so many underrated players who deserve far more recognition. In this segment, we will be discussing two from every team in the league. Their overall roles and abilities may differ, but they all share the common theme that they are not as respected as they ought to be.

For full transparency, two teams will be randomly picked from a wheel each day. The winners will then be discussed.

Today's second piece of the day will be on the San Jose Sharks. Over these last few seasons, they have had their struggles, so many fans have not been paying much attention to them. However, these two players should certainly be watched next season. One is a young forward who is able to produce offense well, while the other is one of their new goaltenders.

Kevin Labanc RW: Kevin Labanc is a very solid top-six winger in the NHL, but he does not get talked about all that often. In 55 games this past season, he scored 12 goals and recorded 28 points. Those stats are pretty solid for sure, but he is capable of producing even more when he's at his best. During the 2018-19 season, he had 56 points in 82 games. One has to wonder if he will get back to that kind of production this upcoming season. He certainly has the potential to.

Adin Hill G: The Sharks traded for Adin Hill this off-season and it could end up being a very good move for them. Although his NHL experience is fairly small, Hill has been very solid these last two seasons when called up. In 19 games last season with the Coyotes, he had a 9-9-1 record and .913 SV%. He also had a .918 SV% the season before in 13 games. With the Sharks, he should be on the team for the entirety of the year, so it will be interesting to see how he performs.
