Seattle Kraken Sign Scott Wilson To PTO Contract

The Seattle Kraken have signed Scott Wilson to a professional tryout contract.

Wilson spent last season with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch. In eight games, he scored a goal and added two assists. The last time Wilson played in the NHL was during the 2019-20 season with the Buffalo Sabres. In six games with them, he scored a goal and had an assist. He also suited up in 37 games with the Rochester Americans that same year, where he had 11 goals and 22 points.

Ever since his impressive 26-point campaign with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2016-17 season, Wilson has had trouble staying in the league on a consistent basis. If he is signed to a contract with Seattle, he will very likely be used as an experienced presence for the Charlotte Checkers.

In 193 career NHL games between the Penguins, Detroit Red Wings and Sabres, Wilson has 20 goals, 31 assists and 51 points.
