2 Toronto Maple Leafs Most Likely to Be Traded

The Toronto Maple Leafs are free falling. The team is off to a horrible 2-4-1 start and the noise is picking up surrounding the team. There's no doubt some changes are on the way and it could start with a couple of trades.

2 Maple Leafs Most Likely Getting Traded

Travis Dermott: The depth defenseman has played decent to start the season and is certainly not one of the reasons why the Maple Leafs keep losing. At 24, Dermott still has a ton of potential and has some decent value on the trade market. So far in six games this season, he sits with one assist and has split duties with Timothy Liljegren. Word is the team wants to give Liljegren some more ice-time and is willing to part with Dermott.

Pierre Engvall: Engvall has had his moments so far this season but his inconsistent play has frustrated Maple Leafs management. So far this season Engvall has three points in seven games and has solidified his spot on the team's third-line and is even getting some power play time on the Maple Leafs' second unit. Look for the Maple Leafs to move on from Engvall this season and he could easily be put in a package with Dermott for a forward who can make an impact and help change the identity of the Maple Leafs.

While trading Mitch Marner would be the sexy deal that most of Leafs Nation wants right now, it's not likely at this point. The Maple Leafs believe in Marner and are hoping he, along with the rest of his teammates can turn around this ugly start.
