Key Forward Out Week-To-Week For The Washington Capitals

According to Tarik El-Bashir of The Athletic, T.J. Oshie will be out week-to-week for the Washington Capitals due to a lower-body injury. He also noted that he sustained it during the Capitals' Wednesday night contest against the Detroit Red Wings.
This certainly isn't ideal for the Capitals, as they already are without another key forward in Nicklas Backstrom. He isn't eligible to be removed from long-term injured reserve until November 6th.

Oshie has been off to a hot start this season. In seven games thus far, he has four goals and six points. He also had a dominant performance against the Ottawa Senators Monday night, as he recorded a hat trick.

As we await more information on the specific details of his injury, all we can hope is that the 34-year-old winger is back sooner rather than later.
