Ottawa Senators Young Forward To Miss Some Time

According to Bruce Garrioch, Ottawa Senators forward Shane Pinto will be out for the next five games. He also noted that more information on Pinto's injury will be released by Sunday.

In Thursday night's game against the San Jose Sharks, Pinto was hit by defenseman Mario Ferraro. From this, he fell and slid very hard into the boards. Pinto then skated off the ice in clear pain, while holding his right forearm.

Pinto is a young forward who is viewed as a key part of Ottawa's future. He left a strong first impression last season with the team, as he scored a goal and had seven points in 12 games. He was also quite fantastic earlier in the year with the University of North Dakota. In 28 games, he scored 15 goals and had 32 points.

Pinto has played four games with the Senators this season and has an assist. Here's to hoping the severity of the 20-year-old's injury won't keep him out any longer than these next five games.
