Trade Rumor: Anaheim Ducks To Move Multiple Notable Players This Season

It's well-known that the Anaheim Ducks are currently rebuilding. With that, there's a good chance that they will trade Ryan Getzlaf, Rickard Rakell, Hampus Lindholm and Josh Manson before the trade deadline passes, according to Elliotte Friedman. All four of them are eligible to become unrestricted free agents this summer and are prime rental candidates.

Getzlaf signed a one-year deal over the summer to return to the Ducks. He had offers from other teams, but opted to remain with Anaheim. He is in his 17th season with the franchise, so if he does in fact get moved, it will be a big deal for their fans. He could be a very solid addition for a contender's third line.

Rakell has the ability to play on the wing and at center, so he naturally will get attention. He was in the rumor mill during the off-season, but the Ducks didn't end up striking a deal. His scoring has gone down a bit since his 69-point campaign during the 2017-18 season, but that could be due to Anaheim's struggles in recent years.

Lindholm played in just 18 games last season, so he is hoping to remain healthy and bounce back. He has been capable of producing 25-to-30 points per season, which is definitely solid for a defenseman. He can play top-four minutes and is a solid puck-mover, so it won't be surprising to see many teams interested in his services.

Manson was actually about to be traded to the Winnipeg Jets this summer, but the veteran defenseman blocked the move due to his 12-team NTC. He's a big right-handed defenseman who also plays top-four minutes, so he will absolutely get attention around the league. It's just a matter of him accepting a trade.
