Philadelphia Flyers Call Up Top Prospect

The Philadelphia Flyers have called up forward Morgan Frost from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He is expected to make his season debut with the team Wednesday night against the Florida Panthers.

The Flyers are currently without centers Kevin Hayes and Derick Brassard, so it makes sense that they have decided to give Frost another shot with the NHL team. In 22 career games with Philadelphia, he has two goals and seven points.

Frost has been playing magnificently with Lehigh Valley this season, too. In 16 games, he has three goals and 15 points. This is very solid production from the 2017 first-round pick and something that should excite Flyer fans. Now, he will be looking to translate that success over to the NHL level. If he leaves a good impression with this call-up, perhaps he can cement himself a permanent spot on the roster.

The Flyers certainly are in need of a boost right now. Over their last ten games, they have a 4-4-2 record and are currently on a three-game losing streak. With their struggles, they are also sixth in the deep Metropolitan Division with an 8-6-3 record.
