Tom Wilson on Team Canada Olympic Radar

Tom Wilson of the Washington Capitals has been informed he is on the radar to make Team Canada's Olympic Team. Wilson heard from head coach Jon Cooper according to Chris Johnston of TSN.

Wilson's hard nosed game and forechecking abilities along the intimidation factor the huge winger brings would certainly provide the Canadian team with a different element to their lineup we've seen in the past. Normally the roster is made up of stars who are asked to change their role for the good of the team. In this case they would just go tell Tom Wilson to play like Tom Wilson.

Earlier this week we focused on John Tavares, Zach Hyman and Steven Stamkos as players who could be on the bubble to make the team and now we can add Wilson's name to the list.

So far in 2021-22, the Washington Capitals tough guy has 14 points in 17 games and is showing he's more than someone who can body slam Artemi Panarin.

The Olympic team will be picked in less than two months and Wilson's next few weeks of production are going to be crucial. The Canadian roster is absolutely stacked and they should be deemed a favorite to win the tournament. With or without Wilson.
