Video: Corey Perry Scores First Goal With Lightning

In his 18th game for the Tampa Bay Lightning, veteran winger Corey Perry finally scored his first goal with his new team. It was a very nice goal, too, as he showed patience with the puck before roofing it past Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart.
Tampa Bay signed Perry to a two-year, $2 million contract over the summer. Of course, it was very interesting to see at the time, as the 36-year-old forward just had lost to them in twice in the Stanley Cup Final. However, it also makes sense that he joined them, as he of course wants to win one more before calling it a career.

This goal could be the spark that allows Perry to find the mojo he had last season. In 49 games with the Montreal Canadiens, he scored nine goals and had 21 points. With that, he also scored four goals and had 10 points in 22 postseason games. Thus, there is potential there for him to still be a decent depth scorer.

With last night's goal, he now has 387 in his career. Therefore, he isn't very far away from getting his 400th NHL goal. This is a milestone to pay attention to.
