Video: Kings' Sean Durzi Scores First NHL Goal

Although the Los Angeles Kings were destroyed by the Toronto Maple Leafs by a 6-2 score Wednesday night, they did have one thing to cheer about. Defenseman Sean Durzi scored his first NHL goal in his debut.

Durzi's goal was a nice one, too, as he took a snap shot from between the faceoff circles to beat goaltender Jack Campbell top shelf. To add to its flavor, the shot even went in after hitting the crossbar.

Durzi was selected 52nd overall by the Maple Leafs during the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. However, the Leafs of course traded him to the Kings as a part of the Jake Muzzin trade back in 2019. It must have been a good feeling to score on the team who drafted him.

Durzi also recorded an assist earlier on in the contest, so overall, it wasn't a bad debut for the 23-year-old defenseman. It'll be fun to see what he does next with the Kings.
