Vegas Golden Knights Forward Out Indefinitely

Vegas Golden Knights forward Max Pacioretty had wrist surgery and will be out indefinitely as a result of it.

Man, this is brutal news for the Golden Knights. Pacioretty has been fantastic for Vegas this season, as he has an impressive 12 goals and 21 points in just 16 games. He has been sidelined this season previously, but whenever he's been on the ice, he's truly dominated.

This is certainly surprising news, too. Pacioretty was deemed as day-to-day earlier this week, but it's apparent that the team underestimated the severity of his injury.

Pacioretty's injury will surely land him on LTIR. This will help the Golden Knights when it comes to their cap space. Star center Jack Eichel is inching closer to returning and when he does, they will be over the salary cap. However, if Pacioretty's salary is off the books when Eichel is ready to go, they aren't going to be in as big of a bind when it comes to that.

Here's to hoping that Max recovers quickly and can return sooner rather than later. He's been having a fantastic campaign, and it's a shame that it keeps getting paused for him.
