Help On The Way For Avalanche

The injury bug has been brutal to the Colorado Avalanche, but we have some good news - Ryan Murray has been activated from long-term injured reserve. With this, he is set to return to the lineup.

Murray has not played for Colorado since November 27th's contest against the Nashville Predators. The 28-year-old defenseman missed significant time due to a lower-body injury. Yet, Colorado now has an important part of their defensive group back.

In 17 games this season, Murray has recorded four assists and sports a minus-1 rating. With this, it's fair to state that it's been a bit of a down year for him. With him now returning for the Avalanche, it will be intriguing to see if he's able to contribute a bit more. Keep in mind, he did have a 29-point campaign in 56 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2018-19 season.

The Avalanche have been on fire as of late, too. They are 8-1-1 over their last 10 games and are starting to look like the true contenders we all expected them to be. With this, they have climbed up to third place in the Central Division. Now that they have a veteran like Murray back in their top six, things could get even better from here.
