Maple Leafs Make Lineup Changes Ahead Of Oilers Game

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be sporting a different lineup in Wednesday night's game against the Edmonton Oilers. Ondrej Kase will be out due to an injury, while Nick Ritchie will be back in the lineup after being a healthy scratch.

Kase reportedly tweaked something during an off-ice workout and missed Tuesday's practice because of it. This is certainly tough news for the Leafs, as he's been on fire as of late. Over his last six games, he has scored three goals and recorded eight points. With this, he now has eight goals and 16 points in 28 games on the season. That's not bad production at all from a player making only $1.25 million this season.

This is a good opportunity for Ritchie to try to get back on track. Unlike Kase, he's been struggling mightily during this campaign. In 29 games, he has a goal, eight points, and a minus-4 rating. When seeing as how he just had 15 goals and 26 points in 56 games with the Boston Bruins last season, he is a candidate to bounce back from here.

Nevertheless, let's see if these changes to the lineup lead the Leafs to defeat the struggling Oilers.
