NHL Rumors: 3 Teams Interested In J.T. Miller

According to Frank Seravalli, the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, and Minnesota Wild are all interested in Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller.

Miller's name entered the rumor mill earlier this season when the Canucks were struggling mightily. Although they have gotten a bit better since then, there are still rumblings that he is available for trade. The 28-year-old's trade value is also at its highest. His contract doesn't expire until the end of next season and he carries an affordable $5.25 million cap hit. With that, he's having an outstanding season. In 39 contests, he has 12 goals and 39 points.

It isn't surprising to hear that the Bruins are in on the sweepstakes. They need a second-line center and Miller would fill that role perfectly. Their forward group would look significantly stronger if they added him, so they should pursue him heavily as the year continues.

At this time, the Flames have a 19-12-6 record and are looking to solidify themselves a spot in the playoffs. In Calgary, Miller could be used as either a center or winger. Keep in mind, he is capable of playing all three forward positions. The Flames do need an upgrade in their top six, and he'd provide them with just that.

The Wild were linked to Miller at the beginning of the season, so it makes sense to hear that they are once again. They appear to be a team that could be ready to go on a long playoff run, so bringing a guy like him to their top six would be huge for them.

Alas, as we get closer to the deadline, don't be surprised to hear about more teams targeting Miller.
