NHL Rumors: Kraken Shopping 3 More Forwards

According to David Pagnotta, the Seattle Kraken are shopping forwards Colin Blackwell, Marcus Johansson, and Riley Sheahan.

We already reported that they are taking offers on Calle Jarnkrok, Mark Giordano, and Mason Appleton. Now, it appears that they are willing to trade more of their pieces, and it makes sense with these new three. Each of these forwards has expiring contracts and the Kraken are way out of playoff contention.

In 17 games this season, Blackwell has three goals and three assists. He had a 22-point campaign in 47 games with the New York Rangers last season, so it's fair to say he's cooled off a bit since then. However, he's still a decent option for a team in need of depth players who can produce offense. Perhaps a reunion with the Rangers could occur.

Johansson is a veteran forward who has almost 100 career playoff games under his belt. Contenders could find this and the fact that he can play all three forward positions appealing. In 29 games so far, he has four goals and 10 points. He can be utilized in a team's bottom six.

Sheahan is another veteran who the Kraken will likely trade. He's an effective two-way center who can work well on the fourth line or as a 13th forward. In 27 games this season, he has a goal, four assists, and a plus-4 rating.
