Thursday Game Between Senators And Kraken Postponed

The NHL has announced that Thursday night's contest between the Ottawa Senators and Seattle Kraken has been postponed.

This isn't shocking news in the slightest. The Senators are getting hit extremely hard by COVID-19 right now, as Thomas Chabot, Zach Sanford, and Chris Tierney entered protocols today. This brought Ottawa's total of players out to nine. It feels that this situation in Ottawa could get worse before it becomes better. Therefore, this may be the best move given the current situation at hand.

The Senators will now not be playing until January 8th when they take on the Vancouver Canucks. However, it feels possible that we could see this game postponed if things do not get better quickly for the organization.

Due to multiple of their upcoming games being postponed, the Kraken are not scheduled to play next until January 10th's contest against the Colorado Avalanche. That's a long break for the NHL's newest franchise, so they will aim to stay in game shape with plenty of team practices.
