Video: Avalanche's MacDermid And Wild's Greenway Fight

After Jordan Greenway ran over Darcy Kuemper, Kurtis MacDermid immediately stood up for his goalie and dropped the gloves with the Minnesota Wild forward.

This was a great response by MacDermid and ultimately was a spirited bout because of it. The 6-foot-5 defenseman also won the decision, as he threw far more punches than Greenway. It was certainly a fun one to watch.

MacDermid is known for playing a very physical game. In 24 games this season, he has two assists to go along with a whopping 49 penalty minutes. After this game, he added 17 more minutes to his total but was right in doing so after what Greenway did to Kuemper.

The Avalanche would go on to defeat the Wild in the shootout by a 4-3 final score. With this win, they now have a 25-8-3 record, while Minnesota has fallen to 22-10-3.
