Video: Brad Marchand Suffers Shoulder Injury, Leaves Game

The Washington Capitals are visiting TD Garden tonight for a regular-season matchup with the Boston Bruins, who have recently found their groove, going 8-2 in their last 10 games. The Bruins offence has a lot to do with their recent success, as the Bruins are ranked 4th in scoring, averaging 4.1 goals per contest during that span. Pesky winger Brad Marchand has been red-hot as well scoring 9 goals and 16 points heading into tonight's game against the Capitals.

The Bruins can ill-afford to lose a player like Marchand, but the 33-year-old winger was seen icing his shoulder on the bench and after trying to play another shift, he quickly headed back to the bench and eventually back to the locker room with several minutes still left in the second period. It has been confirmed he will not be returning for the 3rd period.

Here is a video of the initial play that appeared to injure Marchand:

We will provide an update, as soon as more information is available on the injury, but this is potentially devastating news for Boston.
