Video: Brian Elliott's Turnovers Lead To Two Easy Goals

Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Brian Elliott had a very rough night against the New York Rangers. During the contest, he made two brutal turnovers that would result in goals for the Rangers. When seeing as how Tampa Bay fell to New York in the shootout, it's fair to say that these ended up being backbreakers.

Heading into the game, the Lightning were looking to bounce back from an embarrassing 9-3 loss to the Florida Panthers. Although they certainly played better in this one, Elliott's sloppy plays ultimately sank them in the long run.

Moving forward, Elliott will be looking to rebound from this tough game. When seeing as how he's a grizzled veteran who has had rough moments in the past, he should be able to. In eight games this season, he now sports a 3-2-2 record, 2.79 GAA and .899 SV%.

With their loss on Saturday, the Lightning now have a 21-7-5 record. The Rangers, on the other hand, are 20-8-4.
