Coyotes Place Veteran Goaltender On Waivers

The Arizona Coyotes have placed Carter Hutton on waivers.

Hutton has been sidelined since late October due to a long-term lower-body injury. Yet, with the 36-year-old now being placed on waivers, it seems that the veteran is officially healed. However, unfortunately for him, he likely will be sticking with the Tucson Roadrunners from here - assuming that he doesn't get claimed by another team.

Hutton signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Coyotes this offseason and was viewed as their starter. However, due to the emergence of Karel Vejmelka and the Coyotes claiming Scott Wedgewood, he now has fallen to third on the depth chart. With all of this, it's easy to understand why Arizona has placed Hutton on waivers.

In three appearances this season with the Coyotes, Hutton had a 0-2-0 record, 7.76 goals-against average, and .741 save percentage.
