NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations For Calle Jarnkrok

With the Seattle Kraken out of the playoff race, they are understandably expected to be sellers at the trade deadline. One player who could get a decent amount of interest around the league is Calle Jarnkrok. The versatile forward is in the final year of his deal and only carries a $2 million cap hit. In 34 games this season, he has seven goals to go along with eight helpers. Thus, he is capable of providing decent secondary scoring, which is something playoff teams love to have.

Alas, here are three potential landing spots for him.

Nashville Predators: Before being claimed by the Kraken at the expansion draft, Jarnkrok spent the entirety of his NHL career with the Nashville Predators. They could use another middle-six forward on their roster, so a reunion with Jarnkrok doesn't seem too out of the question. In 508 games over eight years with Nashville, he had 94 goals, 117 assists, and 211 points.

Minnesota Wild: It's been noted that the Wild are looking for some help down the middle. Jarnkrok certainly is capable of playing center, so he could work well as the team's potential 3C. However, they also would have the option to use as a winger on either side, too. With how deep the Central Division is right now, the Wild could use a jolt to their forward group, and he would give them just that.

Washington Capitals: The Capitals should be on the hunt for at least one forward this deadline season. They have dealt with injury trouble all year, and it wouldn't hurt to add a veteran like Jarnkrok. They have plenty of young forwards but could truly use a proven veteran come playoff time.
