NHL Rumors: Blackhawks Listening To Offers For Superstar Forward

According to NHL Insider Frank Seravalli, the Chicago Blackhawks have been listening to trade offers regarding Alex DeBrincat.

Earlier this season, Seravalli noted that the Blackhawks have only three untouchables - Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Seth Jones. Although that doesn't automatically mean that players like DeBrincat and Brandon Hagel will be traded, Chicago will still at least hear what teams are willing to offer for them.

For a team to successfully acquire DeBrincat, they would need to pay a king's ransom and more. He's blossomed into their top sniper and is a player they should honestly keep around for a long time. Yet, Seravalli also noted that he believes Chicago will begin to blow up their roster, so perhaps we maybe could see the unthinkable happen if the right offer presents itself.

In 49 games this season, DeBrincat has 28 goals, 12 assists, and a minus-10 rating. He is on pace to have his second 40-goal season, and it's hard to believe that he won't reach it. The 24-year-old is the player the Blackhawks should build around, but if Seravalli's report is true, it seems they aren't completely against the idea of moving him.
