NHL Rumors: Golden Knights Interested In Marc-Andre Fleury

The Vegas Golden Knights are interested in bringing back goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury from the Chicago Blackhawks, according to Frank Seravalli.

First off - wow. The Golden Knights famously traded Fleury to the Blackhawks during the offseason, which the future Hall of Famer was completely surprised by. Now, just a handful of months later, the Golden Knights are already exploring the possibility of re-acquiring him.

Seravalli also reported that Robin Lehner has sustained a torn labrum in his shoulder. The severity of this injury would keep the 30-year-old out long term if elects to have surgery. The only way that Vegas would be able to even consider the possibility of bringing back Fleury is if Lehner is placed on LTIR. That, in turn, would create more cap space for them.

In 36 appearances this season, Fleury has a 16-17-3 record, 2.88 goals-against average, and .910 save percentage. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner started the year off very slowly but has since heated up. If Lehner does in fact have to miss an extended amount of time, perhaps we will see this reunion come to fruition.
